Afternoon drinks=day is shot
- Today I went golfing with a buddy at around 2. We got through 3 holes then the next hole was backed up 4 groups deep as well as the rest of the course so we figured may as well go to the bar. We stayed there for a few hours and I didn't have a ton to drink but basically confirmed Chuck's theory he talked about in Vegas that beers with lunch kills your day. I don't feel like doing anything else and feel more lazy than usual. At least I was productive before noon today which is a nice change of pace.
- I was recently looking at Jackie Robinson's baseball reference page and am amazed how good he really was. His first 8 years he had an OPS of over .800 and he had 6 straight years of an OPS over .900. To show how good that is as a 2B, Robinson Cano is considered a MVP candidate for his great year this year, his OPS was .914. Robinson only won the MVP once but if you go by WAR (Wins above replacement) he should've won it at least twice. The guy just had an unreal batting eye/power combo. He may actually be underrated as a ballplayer.
- Speaking of baseball A League of Their Own was won today and I forgot how good the "There's No Crying in Baseball Rant" is. Firstly, it's incredibly realistic as the reason Tom Hanks' character is upset is his outfielder missed the cutoff man which drives any coach crazy. Then him wanting nothing to do with the umpire. Then going from you misunderstood me to criticizing his strike zone. Just a great scene despite the fact that his famous line gets so much play. Actually the whole movie is about as realistic as you can get baseball wise.
- I was going to try and play poker right now but realized that would just be an awful idea. Hope everyone is running well.
