As usual I underestimate how much of my time baseball takes up. Not only is there practice but thinking about what I’m going to do that day and analyzing how practice went and the upcoming season can take a lot of time. As a result I’ve fallen behind on my hands and getting episode 2 of Down on the Farm out. I don’t have too much longer to finish it up but it really should’ve been done by now however my time management has been awful the past couple weeks.
I really need to have a calender and organize a daily plan for me as I work much better in a structured environment. I’m sure I can do something off my gmail account to stay organized with a calender. Even back in college I would just write what I needed to get done on the top of my notes page for that day. I would never use a calender, agenda, or anything like that. It’s always worked for me in the past but isn’t even close to the most efficient way to do things. Especially since I’m going to start coaching again, I really need to set aside certain times of the day for certain tasks.
In other news, I suck at picking the NCAA tourney. I’ve already lost 4 of my elite 8 teams as none of my sleepers ever do well. So frustrating as I actually did research this year. Since i have no shot to win any of my pools, I’m rooting for Syracuse the rest of the way. However it has been fun to watch Purdue go to the sweet 16 when just about everyone had them going out in the first or second round. I had em losing to A&M.
First scrimmage is next week for baseball. The head coaches’ wife is pregnant and is due on Easter Sunday. I’m hoping she has the baby before our first game as I had to coach without him for a couple games last year and it’s just much more difficult (although I am 2-0 as a varsity head coach). Hope everyone is running well.
