I never write but Im running on fumes and maybe someone will get help from this.

Dont call 911 if you have an emergency with a pet, they wont do shit. 

Last night I was studying for the CPA exam (40 minutes from my house).  I get a call from my fiance in full panic mode.  She said that our dog had fallen in the canal behind the house.  Well Ive jumped in the canal in the summer and it is almost impossible for me to get back out by myself. 

I told her to call 911.  She did and they didnt do shit.  Not sure what I expected them to do but was hoping they would send a cop or someone to help her out of the water when she went in to get the dog. 

The water is probably in the mid to high 50s right now.  Our dog is 35lbs and is strugeling to stay near her.  So she calls me back after 911 wouldnt do shit and she hung up on the operator. 

So I tell her the only other way to help.  I tell her that the dog wont be able to last in the water as long as she can.  I tell her she will need to jump in the water and lift him out of it.  And that I would be home in 20-30 min to help get her out of the water.  So she does just that. 

Im driving up the main road at 6pm doing 75 and weaving through traffic.  I get home to pull her out of the watter and have a bloody shivering dog to warm up and clean off. 

He scratched himself up on the oysters and barnicals trying to climb up the dock pilings.  

Now everyone is fine.  No majore injuries he just has a bunch of small scratches and cuts that we need to watch for infection. 

I see myself putting up a fence in the near future.

Im tired as crap.  She didnt sleep last night so that means I didnt sleep last night.

Played pretty well imo. I didnt have the results I really wanted but I feel that I ran really bad most of the month. I wound up winning about 15bi in the last week to be up about 3bi for the month.

Graph I dont feel like posting it. Just look at an EKG meeter and that is what it looks like I might have had 3 or 4 15-30bi swings. Roller coaster of love.

April I have a lot of stuff planned. So I dont expect to get a ton of volume in.
Im going to visit my gf family and then going to Arizona to visit my uncle this month. Plus its the best month of the year to fish. So my goals wont be that substancial.

We are playing better in softball. Me not so much but I got glasses 3 weeks ago and it was messing w/ my depth perception for a good week. They put me in the outfield and I ran in for a ball that was hit well over my head. It was pretty ugly. Im also swinging way to early cause everything looks clearer and looks closer to me.

First off no softball update. Lucky you.

Last night I ran into god himself playing 50HU. If you are curious god lives in argentina making $400/month.

Anyways. This guy was running me over he was probably one of the top 3 worst players Ive played in the last month but he was running super hot. At one point he had $475 in front of him and he bought in for $50. I made a couple bad plays but in all honesty I wasnt tilting.

I want to stress to anyone who reads this. BE NICE TO THE FISH. This guy was chatting it up and I was being as nice to him as I could. Where this came in handy. He sits out and says gg $425 infront of him and 200bb deep at this point. I say “just so you know its common curtisey to give a 15 min warning if you are up big on someone. I personally dont care too much but some people may get really pissed at you.” He said “well since you have been nice Ill give you 10 more min but I have to go to work in 15. I’ll remember to give a warning next time.”

10 min later Im sitting w/ $375 infront of me and looking at a 3bi loss instead of a 9bi loss. All because I was simply being nice to him.

So last night I went on the massive grind. Started w/ a 9bi downswing (was stopping at 10bi fwiw) against god and ended up down 1.5bi 3.5 hours latter.

Even though I lost a little last night the massive comeback w/o feeling like Im monkey tilting was probably one of the biggest accomplishments I have had in poker.

Been a while.

Last week my girlfriend had surgery on her foot. It was minor but she couldnt walk much so I spent the weekend playing nurse. She is doing fine now.

So my goals for march are falling into place. I started off the month with a wonderful 10bi down swing and have since got it back (plus a little). I have been playing really well recently. Ran super bad during the first 2/3 of my hands this month though.

Monday night someone sat at my table to play. He leaves about 3 hands later and I get a skype message from my coach saying the guy that sat is another student of his who he is sweating at the time. I told him we could play for a little while if he wanted.

I wound up playing the most interesting (and informative) match of my short HU career. My coach is a 200nl reg, think he is taking shots at 400nl now and he was sweating the guy I was playing at the time.

After 1.5 hours of the hardest competition I have ever played against I was up 3.5 bi. I gave the 20 min warning and proceeded to loose 4 bis KJ<Q9 on JT5r AI on flop 150bb deep. And I c/shoved turn w/ 4s 7s on 8c 4c 2s 3s against 33 200bb deep (3b pot). My coach and I both think this was the best possible play given game flow in both hands so Im not upset with either. Well we agree that b/c flop then shove turn would be a better line on the KJ hand.

Actually I lost $20 that session. The other guy lost $25. So in about 600 hands at 50nl HU there was almost a buy in of rake. So they are raking about 7-8ptbb/100.

I recorded the session so I could review it with my coach and I learned a lot about my game (and so did my coach). I am now extreemly confident that I can at worst hold my own against some pretty good players. He actually made the comment that I could probably beat a lot of the 200nl regs if I had the bankroll as long as Im playing my A-game.

Softball update.
We suck. I suck. 1-3 record now. We have been playing like utter shit.
Last game we lost 17 to 13. We hit 7 home runs and only scored 13 f-ing runs. It was disgusting. Two of our best women hitters went 0-3 in the game. I went 1 for 2. Oh my one hit was a wonderful swinging bunt that I outran to first. I suddenly suck so bad at hitting now and have no idea what is wrong. Seriously I hope someone passes this on to Bosoxx I could really use some batting lessons lol.

Hey at least our defense did a little better.

We have another game tomorrow at 9pm. Cant wait to see how we lose this game. So far it was defense sucked, defense sucked, we played great, offense sucked.

Feb was a swingy month. Did good at HU and ran bad everywhere else. So for march my goal is to have 95% of my hands at HU.

Feb. I was up 16bi at $50HU over about 9K hands. I just need to put in a ton more volume.

I dont have too much planned for March so I hope I can do better.

Coaching started and that has been very helpful. My coach explains things better than a lot of the people making videos on DC, well at least in a different way. So Im starting to notice and think about things in a way I never have before.

Softball update. We are now 1-2 we lost by 2 runs the first 2 games and we played like crap during both of them. Actually the 2nd game we were down 18 to 4 going into the bottom of the 5th and proceeded to score 12 runs to get close. The last game we started to play well. I think the score wound up being like 28 to 2 or something. Our defense decided to show up. My hitting is getting better. Im now 4 for 7 w/ 2 sac flies. Well that is better than my 1 for 3 start in the 1st game

2. Get sick tax return for 1st time home buyer. Thanks for your tax money :)
3. Start my coaching for HU.
4. Play 20K hands this month (mostly HU but some rush in there since its so profitbable still).
5. DONT LOOK AT GRAPH MORE THAN 1 TIME EVERY WEEK. ARRGGG CHECKING WHERE IM AT EVERY 15 MIN HAS GOT TO STOP

So for the other stuff. Still havent been playing much thanks to the new house. When I do get the time to play no one will 2 table me. None of the regulars want to play. This really sucks cause its easy to beat bums but I really dont feel my game improves by doing so. And Im mostly concerned about bettering myself as a player instead of just making money at this point.

As for the house. The flooring is all layed and I moved my couch in last night. Just bought my 1st couch it is comfy as crap (Im sure I’ll spend the majority of my nights on it since its so much more comfortable than my bed). Now I just need to finish cleaning and moving in. Hopefully I can be done with that before the super bowl.

Softball update. We finally lost a game 1st one in 3 seasons. We havent played in about 7 weeks so we were rustier than the titanic. We did move to a better league and we only lost 14-12 to the team that won the league the last 2 seasons. The worst part about the loss is in the bottom of the last inning we had our 12, 1 and 2 hitters up. With our 3 hitter being able to home runs any time he wants. So all we needed to do was get 2 people on base and we pretty much will win. Well we took the bat out of our power hitters hand with our 12, 1 and 2 hitters going 3 and out. I went a wonderful 1 for 3. I dont know if I could have made contact with a beach ball if it were sitting on a tee last friday. Help bosoxx I need some batting lessons (for slow pitch softball though).

So this is my first ever blog. Im going to try to write something every week to keep my thoughts. Will try to mostly do poker stuff but Ive been so busy recently I havent got many hands in.

Im almost done with the floors in my house. Ill share before and after pics next week. I should done this weekend and moved in in another week. Then I will start to get back into poker. Right now Im playing a lot of the rush poker cause it is pretty easy to print money. Too bad Im running worse than a 2 legged dog. A wonderful 7bi below equity in 2.5k hands oh well.

Good news is softball starts on Friday. We changed leagues to get some better competition (going undefeated for 3 straight seasons is a little boring). Now we are playing some tournament teams which are a lot better. I have to get ready since people can now place the ball any where. So I’ll be busier at 2nd than I use to be. Ill try to keep the softball/drunken friday nights to 1 paragraph each blog post, after all it is only slow pitch.
