Part Time Grinder

Played a live $1/2 session at the local casino the other day because a friend wanted to go. I actually really like live poker, mostly for the social aspect. I initially was seated at a kickass table, buncha short stackers but the kind that call off 60% of their stack with mid pair hehe. I then got moved to another table as it was a must move table apparently.

New table Sucked, with a capital "S". Couple full time grinders Ive seen there before, they didnt recognize me at all though. Couple drunk annoying guys and a guy calling everything and hitting. Now dont get me wrong, this wasnt a bad start to a table. I went card dead and the one drunk guy donked off his 500BB stack in a few hands - him and his buddy left. Albeit I was actually glad as they were tossing out racial slurs and basically annoying the whole table. It just kills the mood. The other fish calling everything left about 30 min later and all were replaced by regs.

1 new reg was one of the laggy for the sake of laggy kinda guys and I successfully exploited him a couple times. His play was predictable and I successfully check raise bluffed him on a turn, obv had to show. Then check raised him a few hands later with a flopped set to stack him. Prob is his tilt was really bad for the game - he kept making snide comments about lucksack donkeys and how all the other regs there should try to take all my money and such. I didnt mind all that much and just kept smiling at him and agreeing I play like a tard in his eyes. Then he started berating other regs when they folded to my bets and such and the whole table turned into a debate over my play hehe.

Still cant figure out live regs... My buddy was great for the game (hes the call everything gambler type), but he wanted to leave because of the atmosphere. How hard is it to figure out - keep the game fun and people will stay and lose their money - and they will have a great time doing it too! I really wouldnt want to be a live grinder for any reason. It apparently makes everyone very very bitter. 

I booked a decent win, even not running all that well - doubt Ill be back there for a little bit though. Beer is pricey and the atmosphere sucked, at least the waitress was hot. I havent been playing too much online lately, work and family kicking my butt. I hope to get more in this week though.
