Life is good. Day 10 in Thailand.

Hey guys,

Update time.

I've been crushing it volume wise, getting owned in our local basketball game (5on5 is serious), and I just started dating a really cool Thai girl.  So yeah life is good.  Had to cut my volume short today due to technical difficulties (blue screen of death) but I think I've got it all sorted out now so that should be good.  My sessions have been super swingy since I've gotten here (oftentimes start with me down 50-100 bbs) and I just don't tilt and play through it typically ending up up between 10 - 100 bets.  The preparation (mental stretching) beforehand has been huge for me and typically involves just studying my own game and/or watching videos posting in or reading threads.  Posting and video watching have been the second best compared to self analysis so that's what I've been doing more of lately.  I think that if I can keep up with the good routine and daily improvement that good things are going to continue to happen.

Basketball is pretty awesome and I've been watching some youtube videos on drills and techniques to improve my game.  I'm waaaay out of basketball shape and think I could be one of the better players in our game if I work hard enough.  So... Gonna work more on that.  Especially quickness and explosiveness.  There are drills to improve that on youtube so I'm for sure gonna work on that everyday until it becomes a strength.

Thailand's been super sweet.  I love the warm weather and great people around.  The nightlife is super cool and I met an awesome girl a couple nights ago.  Met her while out drinking with some friends and it happened to be her birthday.  In Thailand apparently girls wear these necklaces that you can staple hundred baht (30:1 exchange rate on a dollar fwiw) and she was pretty hammered.  She told me how much she liked me and how she'd liked me from when she first saw me, but didn't know if I liked her too.  Which I did cuz she's really funny and super hot.  So I took her home with me and we had some of the best sex that I've ever had.  She actually left bite marks in my shoulder from muffling her screams.  Gotta use a pillow next time for sure.  Anyways after we cleaned up and stuff she realized that she couldn't find her purse (which happened to have a bunch of super important stuff in there for her and was about a loss of idk like 1.5-2 months salary worth of stuff) and she started freaking out.  So we played detective and figured out that she must have left it in the taxi and she just kept on saying "I'm Thai he's Thai (why would he do this to me?)" and I felt really bad.  It was her birthday too mind you.  And I wanted to make it better so I told her that I'd pay for all that she'd lost tonight.  She hugged me really hard, kissed me, and thanked me.  We took a motorbike taxi to an ATM and I withdrew the amount to pay for everything and gave it to her unsure if I'd ever see her again.  I later found out that she actually works at the bar and that she told everyone about the story and now I'm like a local superhero there.  Went there again with some friends a couple days later as a place to meet before a night of degeneracy and ended up just splitting from my friends and hanging out with her all night playing connect 4, some dice game, and talking a bunch.  Turns out she's really smart, independent, and cool in addition to all the other stuff and she like totally wanted to be exclusive with me.  So yeah, now I've got an awesome girlfriend that I like a lot and I'm going to go see her after I finish up this post.

I'll try to post more frequent updates as I really enjoy the writing.

Good luck and have an awesome day everyone!

Quick Update

Hey Guys,

Long time no update!

So I'm blogging live from my new place in Phuket, Thailand and wow has this week been crazy!  It's pretty much been a bunch of partying and sex with me shipping a different girl each night and getting adjusted to my new place and being on a complete 180 in schedule.  So doing good on the life balancing/ getting motivated to play front.

Poker wise I've been sporadically getting in volume with me building up more and more hours as I get better adjusted to the new place.  I've been doing a great job of not playing tired, drunk, hungover, hungry, or tilted and my results have been good over a smallish sample.  I really need to next level my volume and to achieve that I need a better routine to hit all the peak hours.  Setting some goals would help with the motivation as well, but the ability to keep going out and having these awesome experiences has been a key motivating factor for me.  I must say that living here's been really amazing.  Beautiful weather (though it's too hot at times), gorgeous women, delicious food, good people, and lots of fun things to do.  All the 2+2ers I've met out here have been friendly, helpful, and cool and I'm pretty happy that such a strong poker base is living out here.  Definitely looking forward to hanging out more with those guys in addition to other awesome friends that are already living out here.

Hmmm what else?

Oh yeah the plane ride over was sick!

15 hours from Atlanta to Seoul.  4 hour layover.  6 hours from Seoul to Phuket for a 25 hour journey.  I pulled an all nighter the night before and managed to sleep for 8-9 hours on the first leg of the trip and had free wifi in Seoul so things weren't too bad.  I watched some movies on the plane, listened to my Ipod some, and worked on my chart of players that I play the most with ranking them in skill level 1-10.  It's been pretty helpful because it's gotten me to revamp my color coding note system and I've been playing better against each of those players I think.  So that's been pretty cool.  The Korean airport was crazy awesome and it felt like I was in the future or something with all the high tech stuff around.

Guess that's all for now.  Gotta get in a quick workout before eating and hitting the tables!

Good luck everyone and take care!

February gogogo!

February... Roooooar!

So things have been really moving lately.  I've been cashing out like mad preparing for my 4 month move to Thailand.  Almost everything is taken care of and now I'm pretty much just tying up loose ends.

Poker's going great and I've been slacking a lot since the GP.  Two guys that were staying at our place made the Top 8 with one of them taking down the event so that was cool.  He came back with a giant trophy (beating a super tough opponent and friend of mine Ben S in the finals) and we pretty much mobbed him.  :)

I'm focusing a bunch on my Limit game lately and need a much much better routine to get in the volume that I want.  I think it's paramount that I form a plan for how I'm going to achieve that routine and have the discipline to follow through with it.  Which is doable, but will be tough for me because I'm so impulsive.  I think the change of scenery will help a ton because I'll be able to life balance waaaay better.  Travel more, party more, be with beautiful awesome women more, etc.  Which in turn will make me hungrier, less stressed, and more focused when I'm at the tables (because I already love studying the game and thinking about the game a ton away from the tables) and I'll have a very peaceful, fully optimized office that'll be pretty close to distraction free.  So yeah that should be pretty neat and I'm very excited.

Hmmm what else?

Vegas!

Have my flight booked from Phuket to Vegas on June 10th.  So that'll be super motivating for me in Thailand because I want to bring the biggest roll possible with me to Vegas for playing cash games and hopefully tournies if I do well enough.  There's still taxes and life expenses to take into account and set aside, but I should be able to write some stuff off.  Plus cost of living in Thailand is much cheaper compared to cost of living in the US.  So that should work out well if I can stay focused, keep good study and playing habits, and work on improving myself on a daily basis.

On that front I've been falling off the wagon from a playing to study ratio stand point with way more study and thinking about the game than actual play so that needs to change.  Need to next level my volume while keeping life balanced with stuff like going out, eating well, getting good sleep, and exercising.  Especially cardio as cardio is like the stoniest of stones.  But yeah discipline and routine are key here.  Need to get that going as that's the weakest part of my game right now and needs to be improved.  I'll get there if I focus on all the right things though and don't go too crazy with it.

Excited about the upcoming months and living abroad for a bit.  Should be an amazing experience and I'll be sure to post lots of trip reports and updates for y'all.

Til next time.  Take care everyone and good luck!

Poker update and some life stuff

Hey guys,

Thought I'd drop in for a quick update.

Poker's been going well lately and I've been learning a ton.  Lately it's been working bunch with combinatorics and wow has it boosted my confidence.  I'm more sure of why I'm winning in a game now if I pick up on their ranges, so I guess that's probably the next weakest part of my game for now.  So that'll be the next thing I work on.  Jumped into some 15/30 6max games and promptly got my ass handed to me to the tune of 40 bets, so that was fun.  I'm pretty sure I negated the edge of one of the "scarier" regs in the game, MisterBunny, when he went for a river bluff raise in a funny spot so hopefully he'll keep up with the spew.  Also got to play with KPR (also a scary reg) later on in the session (only because he was at every table I wanted to play at) so that was fun.  I don't like having him in my games because he makes such good, solid decisions in the short time that I've played with him, but I'm sure I'll figure him out if we play more together.  Talking with BBB has made me so much more, idk, confident about the strengths in my own game and I now have no fear when it comes to winning or losing money at the tables.  I think it's important to have this attitude and to strive to adjust your game with each new piece of information at each decision point in a hand and to do it for every hand of your entire session if you want to have continued success in this game.  The money will come if you just take care of everything else and play in games where your expectation is above zero.  So that's my game plan for the rest of the night.  Just play in good games and to be as objective as possible.

Hmmm so that's poker for me right now... What else is going on?

Oh yeah!

I had a date scheduled tonight with this asian hotty.  She's very cool, very positive, and thinks I'm totally hot and awesome so that's good.  Bad news is that she had to cancel on me because of business and work.  Which sucks, but I'm happy that I'm seeing a girl that's got her own thing going on.  Plus I've got lots of stuff going on myself so it's not like it's the end of the world or anything.  She loves to travel and might be out in the Philippines for a month when I'm out in Thailand, so maybe I can convince her to come visit. :P Fingers crossed etc.

Let's see what else... Thailand!

Going to Thailand with one of my roommates for 4 months and we're going to rent a place out there.  Possibly with some other poker playing friends of ours, but it's still kind of in the works.  We want to fly out on February 10th but haven't booked the tickets quite yet.  I always have an amazing time out there and this'll be my longest trip out there by far (other two times I've gone were for a month each).  I love it out there though, so I see nothing but positives.  Great people, amazing weather, sick night life, and tasty Thai food etc.  On top of all that I get to set up my poker office just the way I want it and I figure that i'll be super life balanced which'll make me want to grind tons.  So that should = tons of $ hopefully.

After Thailand I plan on heading out to the WSOP for two months and playing cash games and maybe some tournaments depending on my bankroll.  I crushed it last year in the cash games, so I expect similar results if I motivate myself to get in quality hours.  I love live poker so much, but online is just so much better for volume, learning, and day to day happiness for me.  So I'll probably strike a balance between the two while I'm out there just like I did last year.

Ooooh played a quick match against a reg at 15/30 the other day.  Was fun.  I asked him to two table and he pussied out, so I decided to quit him.  I want to keep my dexterity up with playing many games, gradually build on improving it, and playing a slightly wider range of opponents for each level as the rake becomes less and less of a factor.  It'll also help for the health of the games as I remember KPR once saying that a lot of times people just want a game and if you are a reg, it's in your best interest to make that available to them.  So if a game starts to break, it's wise to play for a short time even if your edge isn't there for the sake of getting games going.  Now to me, it seems like a good idea, but in practice there's the whole prisoner's dilemma thing going on and my solution is to just get better so that I can express an edge over these people that are willing to play me.  Be the highlander, be the king of the mountain, etc.  And if someone else wants to try to do the same and get good games going, then I'm for it.  Now that doesn't always mean that I'm going to keep games going as I have a life, but I'm definitely going to do it when I plan on playing for a while and helping the growth of the games when I can.

Also my inner nerd must speak out! So I've gotta talk about the GP, obviously. :) GP Atlanta's coming to town so I'm tightening up my magic game a bit in addition to all the poker, girl, and planning a trip stuff so I've got a lot on my plate at the moment.  Probably won't play in the event as poker's just way more +EV and I want to spend some time with Wisa before I head off to Thailand, but I'm for sure going to spend lots of time hanging out with some of my good friends that are coming into town.  Luckily a lot of them are staying at the house so that makes it a bit easier.

Guess that's it for now.

Take care everyone,

I'm out.

A wonderful day

Hello everyone!

I've been putting in more study time away from the tables lately and it's been getting me pretty fired up about playing because I feel much more confident in why I'm winning.

Went out with some friends last night for some drinking and while grabbing some cash out of my room and I stumbled across a small wad of 100's that I'd forgotten about post WSOP.  So naturally we took this as a sign to go to the strip club where I met this totally amazing girl.  Now I'd met her before and just had the hots for her, but after talking with her and VIPing her, I realized that we had a lot in common.  We're both super positive about things and both love Thai food.  She loves traveling possibly even more than I do, and she's just very easy going and cool.  Not to mention that she's kind of interested in poker (but claims to never get any good hands lol).  So we set up a lunch date at her friend's Thai restaurant in Buckhead, Tuk Tuk, and just had the best time hanging out and laughing about all sorts of stuff.  The food was absolutely insane too and I'd rate it as the second best Thai restaurant I've ever been to and the number one in ambiance (There's an actual Tuk Tuk in the lobby of the fucking restaurant!). Pic of me in the tuk tuk obv.

Planning on seeing her again Wednesday night at a bar/dance club spot in Atlanta called MJQ that's pretty cool and happening and a spot that I haven't been to in a while.  Which I'm obviously super excited about because A.) I love dancing, B.) She's cool as hell and likes dancing, and C.) MJQ is just the best.

Hmmm what else?

Oh yeah, after all this I drove back home and took a nice relaxing nap after filling my roommates in on some of the details since I don't really date much in Atlanta.  I think it's mostly because I put so much into poker, gaming, and hanging out with friends that I just didn't make the time for it. And man am I happy that I found some time to balance out my life more and hang out with her.  I hope that I get to see her again soon, but until then I must embrace all the other stuff that I've got going on.  The things that make me, me like becoming a great poker player and a better friend to my friends.  Especially locally.  Think globally but work on the local stuff first is the approach that I'm taking, and so far it's making me very happy.

After waking up from my nap I came downstairs and my roommate Josh was talking to a student of his (Brian) about poker and I decided to create a hand chart for 6 max that the three of us discussed at length and what conditions you'd want to adjust your defaults to.  The idea was that if the game was full of five copies of yourself what would your default opening and 3betting ranges be from each position and we literally talked about it for hours.  We got on our computers and talked about what hands we were winning and losing with from each position and I now feel incredibly confident in my 6max game.  I was so excited about the discussion that I decided to next level it as Brian says and started analyzing the various hand combinations for each position.  Needless to say I'm pretty fired up about poker right now.  I think that tomorrow is going to be a sick day for me poker wise, and I plan on getting in lots of great A game volume in with my new found confidence.

Getting super excited but also kind of sleepy.  Tomorrow's gonna be fucking awesome. :)

Hope all is well with ya'll.

Take care,

Paul

Adjusting to being snowed in

Hey ya'll

Still snowed in here in Atlanta and I've had a cough that's been coming and going quite a bit the last week.  I think it's getting better but it's been messing with my walks and my daily routine so I'm thinking of going to Thailand since there's no snow there!  I just started mixing in another workout that I learned from a friend and I feel much better after mixing it into my routine today, so I thought I'd share the technology.  Basically you alternate between doing sets of push ups, then sit ups, then jumping jacks for X number of sets and drop it by one each time until you reach 1.  It's awesome because you can work out a wide range of muscle groups and get the blood pumping and you can be as hardcore with it as you want (starting with a set of 10, then 9, then 8, etc. gets you to 55 of each which can totally kick your ass if you're out of shape.  Now It may sound easy, but you can totally get it to kick your ass by just upping the number of reps and for me I want it to be more lower impact and to get the blood pumping.

Hmmm what else?

I've been thinking a lot about poker away from the tables lately thumbing through my tracker numbers and I think that I've been messing up a lot of potential triple barreling spots.  Posted a hand that I wasn't sure about and sure enough I've got a pretty big time leak.  I feel like stuff like hand combo counting is a big strength in my game once the ranges are defined, but I struggle with identifying the ranges sometimes or just going with some archaic thought processes that I haven't reviewed in a while.  So I want to weed that out of my game and become a more solid thinker strategically at the tables and the rest will naturally fall into place because it will just make sense.

Gotta get my workout on and get ready for my session.

Talk to ya'll later.  Good luck at the tables guys.

Story Time!

Hello world!

The games are pretty meh and I'm feeling a little spicy...  Sooooo story time!

So I was 21 and traveling with some friends (all of us single at the time) prior to going back to the new Atlanta house.  The timeline for this is kind of fuzzy, but I do remember that we were up there to play some live low stakes NL cash games at the casino on the Canadian side of the border and that my friend Gabe was there and wasn't with us on future trips.  So it was for sure before we went back to Atlanta just after the UIGEA happened.  Anyways... We got on the lists and they were quite long, so we figured we'd grab some beers at the bar.  The bar was pretty packed and looked cool as shit at this particular casino and but we managed to get some seats because we're awesome.  Anyways we order some beers and chill out for a second talking mostly about how cool the bar looks and then some NL and live game strategy until a girl starts chatting up my friend Don.  Now I'm pretty introverted at this point, but only because I haven't embraced my inner lag.  Plus I talked a lot about just being yourself and being a lag in life in general and how I think that's the best way to live.  A girl taps me on the shoulder and she's pretty cute.  She wants to talk and I'm totally in denial about how good looking I am.  She says that she and her friends (they are all very good looking btw) are from Ohio and are here for a bachlorette party and wants to know if we came to party.  I look at her stone faced at first, crack a bit of a smile, and then excitedly say: "No, we came here to play poker!"  She gives me this kind of oh.. okay.. sure type look and is like ok, cool.  And then walks away.  Now I turn back to my friends and I tell them what just happened.  My friend Gabe is literally in shock.  Everyone else is in disbelief.  And my friend Don is like Dude! When a group of hot girls asks you if you're here to party, you don't tell them No, we came to play poker!  YOU COULD'VE GOTTEN ALL OF US LAID by BACHELORETTE HOTTIES that "CAME TO PARTY!".  And I'm like Ohhhhhh yeah! Good point!  My friends are so tilted that they don't even want to play poker anymore.  Plus another buddy said the games were rock fests so we decided to just find a place that sold pieces and smoke up in one of the rooms and eat pizza (except for Gabe who doesn't smoke but did partake of the pizza). The end.

Mooooore stories!

So this one happens my second night in Thailand and is fairly awesome/degenerate...

I was 24 and I remember this trip being really special to me for so many reasons...  But the most important of which is that it's really really important to just be you.  Be yourself and to be cool with that.  But anyways on to the story.  I was super jet lagged after day one and just wandered the streets with my friend Rudy before crashing for a loooong time.  I woke up and texted some friends and most of them were out doing stuff and I was just alone in my hotel room.  I hadn't gotten laid yet this trip (a big reason why we came out there from hearing insane stories from a couple of our friends) and most of my other friends on the trip had.  So I was feeling a little out of place.  My friends Don and Julien text me and say they're going out to the night club Spicy and want to know if I'm down?  I say sure as I've got nothing better to do and so I take a tuk tuk (motorbike taxi) over to Spicy.  I get there and meet up with Julien and Don. Now Don, who knows me very well and is probably my best friend in the world at this point, can see that I'm a little uncomfortable.  He says you need to just loosen up and goes to the bar and grabs a couple of whiskeys with cola and we have a little heart to heart.  He says that I should just loosen up and have a little fun.  You're awesome and all of these girls are crazy about guys like you!  I say that I can't really dance and I feel kind of awkward.  He's like duuuuude!  None of these guys here can dance, just look at them!  I do and they all suck at dancing.  He's like all you have to do is throw in some sharp, crisp moves and move to the beat and you'll be the best dancer in the club.  This gives me some confidence, but I'm still unsure.  The drinks start to kick in and I'm like fuck it!  Why not.  I'm just going to have a good time and have fun with it.  So we grab a table for our drinks and dance with some girls and get super trashed.  The girls are all over Don and Julien, but mostly Don because he's just dancing and having fun with it and looks like the funnest.  Eventually the girls want to go to Spice Club (as it's apparently better than Spicy) and I'm feeling pretty isolated.  We go out to catch a cab and Don, Julien, and the 3 girls get in the cab and I say Nah, I'll catch ya'll later have fun.  Don looks concerned and is like are you sure? And I tell him (wanting them to have as much fun as possible) that oh I had a blast and I'm tired I'll just catch ya'll tomorrow.  He seems satisfied by this answer and they go off in the taxi.  Now at this point I'm getting kind of down on myself and I'm like Fuuuuuck!  Why am I such a pussssy and so bad with womennnn!?!  I kick a stone across the parking lot and start to walk back towards the hotel.  Now some Thai dude is like hey Taxi! Taxi!  And I'm like no thank you.  He then says that he can take me to a place where I can have one or two ladies and I stop.  He says that they'll come back to my hotel and I'm like... That sounds like just what I need right now.  Fuck being a pussy! I'm tired of being a pussy!  I want to live!!!  So I tell him okay, take me to this magical place and he says he'll pull the car up.  We talk for a bit on the car ride over and I tell him about my night.  He seems genuinely interested and wanting to help me (even though I'm just some farang (foreigner in Thai) and I just go off about what happened over the night and he seems to genuinely feel for me and says that Thai women would totally be into me.  And I say you know what, I'm totally going to bring two girls home with me and live the dream and have a 3some.  He seems happy for me and we pull up to the place.  It's a little hole in the wall joint and we both go in.  I say I want to pick the two hottest girls and bring them back with me and that I'll buy him whatever drink he wants while I figure this out.  He grabs a seat and gets a soda.  Now right off the bat I can tell this is like no other bar that I've been to before.  Sofas and comfy chairs everywhere and a stage with a line up of sooooo many beautiful, young, totally gorgeous women.  The hottest one starts giving me the eyes right as we walk in and I'm like I want her.  So I walk up to her and pick her out of the line up and she extends the hand and says hello and we introduce ourselves.  I tell her that I want her to pick the girl that she'd most want to sleep with and she's like, no, you pick.  I glance over the lineup again and pick the second hottest girl and we walk to the couch.  Now my friend Rudy gave me a brief run down of how much I should be paying for this sort of thing on day one of this trip and he was like 1500-2000 baht is pretty standard.  The owner of the place walks up to us and asks if we'd like any drinks and I get a jack and coke and the girls get whatever they wanted (beer I think?)  Anyways they're kind of rubbing against me and I'm like Yesssss! So smarttttt!! in my head and I just smile and talk to the girls trying to get to know them a little better.  Now the owner comes back up with a calculator and asks me to enter a number.  So I don't want to insult the girls, so I go high and type in 4000.  Both the girls frown and I feel really bad.  The owner types in 10,000 and the girls still have those puppy dog looks on their faces and I think for a second and then nod my head.  They both jump for joy and the owner practically high fives me and says good decision!  I tell him I need to go to the ATM because I don't have enough on me and he's like "No problem, I'll be your bodyguard".  And the girls run to the back to get ready and the owner and I walk across the street to an ATM.  Now this is a good time to mention that I hadn't called my bank back home and told them that I'm in a foreign country but had already used my card once to withdraw money without a problem.  Naturally my card didn't work.  I tried all 3 atms there and none of them worked.  The owner's like what's the problem.  I said my card's not working.  He said maybe it's the machines, let's try another set of ATMs.  We walk about a block to some other ATMs.  They don't work either.  I realize what's happening and tell him.  I also tell him that I'm here with a bunch of friends and that I can just borrow money from them, no problem.  He's like okay, here's what we'll do, taxi man drives you and the girls back to the hotel and you get money from friends.  Come back downstairs and give money to him, and he'll give the money to me.  I'm like sounds good.  And he's like 10,000 baht + taxi fair.  I'm like seems reasonable (even though it's highway robbery).  And just think that everyone's the best.  So they drive us back to the hotel and the girls are calling me sexy man, beautiful man, etc while I'm texting like a madman to all of my friends.  3some emergency! Card doesn't work, need X number of Baht.  Pls help! SOS!  etc.  And we get to the hotel.  Now I know that my friends Rudy and Zach are in their rooms, but Rudy is fast asleep.  I put an ear to his door and notice that the lights are out.  Fuuuuuck I think to myself.  Now I do the same for Zach's room.  He's got a light on and I hear music.  Now this is a good time to mention that Zach hates being woken up more than anything in the world and listens to music in his sleep.  I knock on the door.  Dude!  Zach!  3some emergency!  Help!  No answer.  I'm like duuude!  I know you're in there I can hear the music this is a fucking 3some emergency!!!!  Still no answer.  I start banging on the door as loud as I can and shout at the top of my lungs.  Dude!!!! 3some emergency and my card doesn't fucking work because I'm a fucking idiot!  The girls are downstairs and I've got to ship them the money beforehand!  Pls I'll love you forever if you just open up!  Zach opens the door having woken up from an obvious sound sleep mad as I've ever seen him.  He's like WHAT!?  I explain the situation and tell him I need 7000 baht.  And I remember this very clearly, he looks at me angrily and says that's all the money I have in my wallet.  What the fuck would you need 7000 baht for?  And I tell him that's just how much it costs dude.  They're really hot.  The hottest women I've ever seen.  And he's like here don't ever do this a-fuckin- gain.  Ever!  And I'm like I won't, thank you so much dude.  You are the best and I promise to never do this again and pay you back ASAP.  I'll talk to the BofA people ASAP and get this money back to you.  Thank You! I love you man!  he slams the door.  I run back downstairs and pay the taxi guy all of the money I have and say you're the best man!  Thank you so much!  Now I walk back into the hotel with lady on each arm.  And they have to give their IDs to the desk lady and we go upstairs.  Now Thai people are very clean and it is standard for everyone to shower before engaging in any hot and sweaty activities.  We get back to the room and they're like you shower first, then we shower.  I'm like why don't we all just shower together?  And they're like no, you shower first.  Then I shower, then she shower.  I'm like cool.  Awesome.  Sounds great.  And go and shower.  I'm thorough and want to be clean for the girls and do a good job and as I'm drying off I see a silhouette of what I think is the girls making out on the bed?  And decide to just drop the towel and jump right in.  I open the door and one girl was reaching for the remote on the other side of the bed, and the other one is lying back watching tv.  I'm like oh, and try to play it off like well uh your turn?  And we have a good laugh about it.  One of the girls passes me and says something about my cock being hungry or something and walks casually into the bathroom and closes the door.  The other girl is rolling on the bed laughing and I'm like well... I thought ya'll were making out so I had to do something.  She justs starts laughing harder and is like you're funny, funny man.  I smile and I'm like well ya'll bring that out of me and she smiles.  Girl number 1 finishes up and I get a towel on at some point while talking to girl number 2 and she goes into the bathroom.  I start making out with girl number 1 and when girl number 2 comes out of the shower we have ourselves some fun.  I'll leave the rest up to your imagination.

At the end of the night I get money from my friend Aziz who answered my text so I could tip the girls and give them cab fair back home.  They kiss me on the cheek and let me know that I paid waaaaay too much and that both the cab driver and the owner ripped me off hardcore. They told me they'd come back and see me for free and they gave me their numbers.  I get online and get my card unfrozen (won't happen until the next day the person I talked to online told me) and pay back Zach the next day. Very pleased with myself I log onto facebook and type the following mesage...  "My wallet is empty, my card is frozen, and I just had a threesome with two of the hottest girls I've ever seen in my life. Life is good."

Seems like a good place to stop.

Peace out ya'll.  Hope ya'll have an awesomely wonderful day.

Take care,

Paul

A quick update

Hey ya'll!

Thought I'd drop in and post a quick update.

The weekend went awesome and I played for 10 hours on Sunday starting off down 60 bets and ended up up 118 bets.  Played in two limit tournies and final tabled both of them for 9th and 3rd respectively.

About to eat some 420 brownies and trek out into the snow up to the gas station to pick up some desserts and other stuff.

I think tonight's gonna be a hang out and game with friends night followed by some 6max study.  But I'm gonna just play it by ear.

Hope all is well with ya'll.  Take care.

Life is good

Hello Again!

Up bright and early after a successful Taco Thursday (Taco Thursday is a day at our house where it's an open invite to all of our friends to come by and we hang out, drink, and make tacos; super cheap to buy the ingredients and great for life balancing imo) and snap checked DC for new limit videos (love the coaching line up here btw).  I've always been the sort that just kinda watches the videos and don't comment for the most part but I'm looking to change that since getting feedback on your thought process is a great way to learn!  Video was great and I'm pretty fired up about getting in some more hands and commenting on every new video I see.  I came up with the idea yesterday after watching I Has A Pair Episode 1 with DD and OTR and realized how much more efficient it is to just talk about the video when it's new and lots of great minds are watching and talking about the video.  Just having something to talk about in general and great people to talk about it with will help me digest it quicker and free up more time to do other fun stuff.  Not to mention shed leaky non solid thinking in my limit game.  I think a lot of those bad habits stem from the fact that I have such a good community of limit minds already living with me so I don't talk about it as much in threads and that needs to change.  I remember reading an entry in one of Krantz's blogs where he talked about Always Trying to Understand Why, Asking Why, and Becoming a Better Intuitive Psychologist and I think that that's awesome tech for constant improvement and not becoming complacent (how winning players become losing players eeek!).  You should read it if you get a chance, it's quite good.  That and the Chuck Norris of Poker thing was super awesome imo.

Found this awesome chart in someone else's blog for playing your A game ( http://bazclark.com/wp-content/uploads/2010/10/Baz-Poker-Performance-Breakdown.jpg ) and figured I'd crosspost it here since it's my new desktop background for the new year.  That plus my Patience, Yo! sign which has been working out pretty well for me so far in nipping my short term results orientedness in the bud.  Inch worming it, so baby steps.  I feel like I can improve on a lot of areas in that chart and it also makes me want to hire a coach.  Though I kind of get coached and coach my roommates from time to time, but a fresh perspective from someone you respect is always welcome imo.  Gotta think about that one more.  Maybe on my pre session walk today!  We'll see.  Also those walks have been sick good for me this year.  I'm so happy just firing up some songs in my ipod and just walking around the neighborhood for 3 miles.  Gets the blood pumping and juices flowing and sometimes I just literally frolic and dance around in the streets because I'm so happy about life.  People must think I'm insane driving by lol.  I do stop to give them a wave and a big smile though, so at least I'm polite about it. ;)

Guess that's it for now.  Gotta get my walk on.  Good luck and have an awesome day everyone!
