Seasoning Micro Steaks

Its 2:22am on Wednesday Jan 6, 2010 and I am currently converting a few DC video series to Ipod format so I can study when I am on break at work. I am taking small steps towards my goal of working harder on my game. I am still not doing nearly as much as I would like, but I am getting there. I think if I just change my life and my study habits around overnight, I am never going to stick to it. I think taking my time and slowly working in as much study time as I can is whats best for me right now.

Lately, I have been reading a ton of blogs but one in particular sticks out to me. KasinoKrime’s blog here on DC is a great read and I really enjoyed his last post, so I figured I would share it with you guys if you haven’t seen it yet:

I already watched the new FRNL coach, NLFool’s video and I enjoyed it. He seems like a pretty good player and I like that he plays a little different from some of the FR guys that we have seen on the site so far. It provides a lot of points of view on how to play the game profitably. Then you can pick and choose what works for you.

The one thing I am really struggling with as far as my off the game studying concerned is session reviews. I just can’t bring myself to sit there and just do the work. I am really going to make an effort to spend at least an hour going over all the hands over 20bb’s everyday. I just have to motivate myself I have no idea why making a ton of money isn’t motivation enough. I guess it is because I haven’t made any real money at poker yet.

So far my month is going reasonably well at the tables, I am up 4bis over 2k hands. I am not playing the volume that I really want to, but I am starting the month off slow and hopefully picking up the volume starting next week. I do want to earn SN this year, even though I am starting out the month playing 25 and 50NL FR. If I can give myself a decent start, I think I can reach it by December if I play well and move up stakes.

I plan on posting blogs more often as a release and to keep me motivated with goals and such, I hope it works out.
