From Lead to Gold

The streets seem to have gone to pot with all the trouble in the bigger UK cities this last week, once something like this starts it can take years before things truely stabilise. For once I am glad that the weather has been pretty poor as this probably puts off the kids/idiots as much as the Police, they have to keep their Blackberrys dry. It is really difficult to assign any causality links or rather it is quite chaotic and twenty or thirty can easily be at play. Sadly, this means that the politicians can have a field day - there is likely to be no wrong answer and they will end up using this to push their own agendas. You may be able to tell but I dispair over politicians - they will make capital over any family's grief almost without realizing what they are doing. The riots are caused by: Parents, Gangs, 'have and have nots', Politicians, Scumbags, Scumbag newspapers, Multi-culturalism, Globalism, TV, Police, Drugs... Just pick your pet hate and start using semi-random events as proof of your hypothesis. Well it seems to have stopped for now and the politicians are back to sort it all out, hurrah.

Forgive me it's been 8 weeks since my last confession to the poker gods and they obviously don't like being spurned.

My downswing is still continuing, it is now upto 90 buyins and the roi is still falling. On the plus side I have moved down several times and I am now back in the micros so some of the last few BI's haven't cost that much, well apart from the pain. It all still seems to be mostly locked in by running really bad, less than half is covered by the all-in $ev. It seems to be that I am fairly consistantly getting the money in bad on the turn or river after having a massive lead. I actually do quite like the way I'm playing - I am reviewing quite a lot of the hands via the replayer and nearly all go through a Wiz review. Mostly I seem to be making good decisions so I guess I'll just have to wait it out, I don't usually tilt much or at least not by throwing chips in bad, if anything it just tends to stop me playing so often. In some way this should strengthen my game as I am replaying/reviewing more games than normal.
