Perfection is not attainable, but if we chase perfection we can catch excellence. -Vince Lombardi

After watching Coaching Kristy, I decided to do what BelugaWhale says and write more about poker stuff.  So here goes some rambling of my poker mind.

On the 1st episode of The Blueprint, Krantz's quote on creator's compromise keeps on sticking in my head.  For those of you who haven't seen it yet or just forgot.  Let me remind you.  The whole idea basically boils down to this: creativity is nothing without productivity.  You can think of the best things in the world but none of it matters, if you don't do anything about it.  Then Krantz says it's better to be very productive with a little creativity so you can actually get stuff done.  The purpose of getting stuff done is for experience.  With experience, you can figure out what works and what doesn't so you can have success.

On the note of experience, it makes me think of my recent clashes with multi-tabling and poker groups.  I just started to 4 table successfully and got out of the 2-3 table grind.  I realized that multi-tabling is all about being comfortable.  Then the logical and ambitious parts of my brain say to get comfortable with more tables so I can increase my win rate.  But, we all know that's a double edged sword.  Sometimes personal advances just can't be rushed and have to be waited out.  Anyways, on to poker groups.  Since I recently moved up to 50nl, I decided to venture out and look for a 50nl poker group to join.  Sadly, the ones that I joined frizzled out but at least I still have a micro group left.  Don't get me wrong, I love my micro study group, but since I moved up, I feel that I need another 50nl player to grow with to push my success to higher levels.

I pretty much took the advice from the one Episode of Shuffle and Flow that said, "Surround yourself by success.  Find others who are going through the same stuff as you and that want to accomplish the similar goals."  That video was like an omen for me push my pursuit of excellence.

To anyone that actually read my whole rant and happens to need a poker buddy that plays around 50nl 6max...give me a PM!  I'd like to end this post with a little funny quote from Stewie in Family Guy that I just saw.  "I'll give you anything want.  Money, women, (pause) men?"
