Tilt
Tilt just creeps up on you sometimes. I’ve had several sessions without tilting hard and yesterday it just hit me. It started with one hand multi way.
MP raises to 3x I flat in C/O, Button Flats and BB, who I am very familiar with, flats as well.
Flop. 2-3-4 rainbow., MP Checks I bet about 2/3rds pot, Button folds and BB calls.
BB calling range is over cards because he knows me and knows that i would CBET that board. he could also have sets, suited connectors or sometimes medium pairs like 88-1010
Anyways, he checks a turn 7. I think I missed a bet for value here because he checked as well. I checked because I couldn’t face too much heat with a raise and he could very well bluff raise me. Anyways, river comes 5 so the board is 2-3-4-7-5 and he bets $20 into a $30 pot.
That bet doesn’t looks somewhat like value. I felt like he could be doing it with his high card range as well and maybe his medium pairs. I decide to go for a thin value raise, he shoves and I snap and he flips over 6-3s….gross
Anyways, that while that contributed to my tilt it wasn’t the main hand that did it.
I raise AKo, multi tabeling reg 3bets, I 4 bet small for a few reasons. We have plenty of history. He thinks I’m a complete lagtard and I 3bet him a decent amount. If he shoved there I would’ve had to fold a lot there. he he just flat calls he is rarely trapping me there. His likely range is 1010-QQ and AK. He would never shove with JJ and hardly ever with QQ.
Anyways, the flop comes K high all hearts and I have the A of hearts. Giggity!
I bet small to induce and he tank shoves and I snap. He flips over AK of clubs and I’m free rolling….blank, split pot.
Anyways these two hands are nothing any of us haven’t gone through. It’s just funny how some days hands like these really get to you and you spew a few buy ins and other days it doesn’t even phase you. I don’t get it?
