Back To The Trap House

Just got back from Vegas with my friend Kai. We went for a few days to look for a place. Well we found one off the strip, fully furnished, 3 bedroom and 2 bathrooms for 1050!! What a steal right? The neighborhood was good too since we didn’t want to be tempted by the traps of the strip it seemed perfect.

Well, the very next day as the leasing agent was filling out our application he got a call from the owner saying he had other people “Suddenly” lined up. This place had been on the market since August and out of no where someone just snatches it up? Ninja PLEASE!

The agent came clean and said the owner didn’t want to lease it out to two “kids” with no jobs. So we left Vegas empty handed and now we have to go back and look again….

As we were scoping out the casino we checked out the neighborhood casino called south point. The concept of a neighborhood casino kind of blew my mind. It was way off the strip and only fed the surrounding area. There was a movie theater and children and families everywhere. I guess it was the local hand out. We decided to check out Avatar in 3D. Let me tell you that you will not be disappointed. While it wasn’t the best movie I have ever seen it is the single best movie experience I EVER had!! We saw it twice within 2 days and my friend Kai said it was the best movie he had ever seen. Who needs Mushrooms when you have Avatar in 3D….Seriously!!

We then dicked around and played some 1/2 at this south point place. I hadn’t played live in so long I had forgot how ridiculously bad live 1/2 players were. Unfortunately I ran bad with every big hand I had losing large pots with AK twice, JJ, AA and KK all on some sort of suck out not worth crying about in this blog.

Funny thing is I did find a way to almost fight this 50yr old man from Brooklyn on the left of me who had caught runner runner clubs no pair no draw with A4 against my JJ. Him and his stooge of a friend were chatting up hands and strategy while playing and I hadn’t said anything until the JJ hand. It looked like I was steaming from the hand but in actuality I was trying to get them to stop talking about hands with each other. 1 person to a hand right? Well that was stupid because they were giving lots of action and it ended with security having to escort the guy out after he had challenged me to go outside at least 6 times. I would’ve dropped the out of shape Brooklyn guy but that would’ve been retarded to get into a fight at a casino. What really set him off is when I told him to go back to the jersey shore. He stood up and got into my face while his friend watched. He would’ve never punched me. If he was going to he would’ve instead of just yelling at me and talking about it.

I was somewhat of a fighter for a really long time and for the past few years have been trying to avoid it. My ex GF says I egg people on. I do have a smart mouth especially when I’m drunk but in this case I was stone cold sober. I guess I bring out the worst in people sometimes…..

Sorry to any east coasters on here reading this but I have a strong dislike for you. Your accent pisses me off and you all seem tightly wound up. Please prove me wrong some day. Nolan seems like a cool guy but who knows, he may try to fight me one day too.

Anyways, I’ve been tilting pretty hard lately and after having a great start to the month I must say I am pretty much train wreck status at the moment. I played some games I probably shouldn’t have such as PLO. Today I challenged a fish to HU at 50NL only to start jacking off when he asked to move up to 100NL. Well, I was under strict rules not to do that by my backer. I couldn’t help myself and he stroked me for 3 buy ins at 100NL. I mean fuck, if I just stick to my normal game, fullring 50NL its like printing money. My backers a nice guy and all but its just embarrassing more than anything after I had told him how well I was doing only to be pretty much at square one.

I was running good and beating the game for like 7BB per at the beginning of the month and now I’m basically break even. What a joke I am at the moment. Oh well though, I’ve been here before I just have to learn how to truly grind and this shit won’t happen anymore. I have the ability to beat 200NL regularly but my backer keeps me down at 50NL to really dial up the basics of grinding. After all, it is my biggest leak of all. As soon as I can prove I can grind at 50NL I get to move up. Until then I’m stuck at 50 which is now much longer because of my stupidity.
