Day 4 Dublin final day

Sorry slacking on these but this was the final day. The guys got me to go to the jameson factory fairly around noon that day. I tend to be really quiet when I am tired so I was pretty much keeping to myself. We got there and booked the tour while I went and got a panini from the food place inside. We did the tour and I thought it was pretty terrible. There was nothing real in the entire place as they didn’t bottle there anymore but it was the main place for like two hundred years. They basically just tell you how whiskey is made and how much care it takes but I didn’t really care and just wanted my whiskey at the end. The germans said they would teach me how to drink whiskey, which is just without coke. It was good and I really like Jameson. I can’t really drink it fast because I have a bad stomach for booze than do not include < 20% alcohol. Some girl also spilled her drink all over another girls camera. I thought that was funny in a shadenfreude kind of way.

After that I had to go book my next plans. I knew I was going to Berlin with Jay but I needed to figure out where my next plans between the time we were in Dublin and when he arrived in Berlin. So I had to kill about 3 days by myself. After looking around, trying not to get bloodbathed on the price, I decided Tallinn in Estonia would be the best after many recommendations from the DC forums. I had my flight booked for 1am that night.

While all this was going on the guys met their female friend from high school and she took them pubbing because she was living in the area for a number of months. After finishing my bookings I decided to meet up with them at a Gaelic pub. After awhile having no idea which one they were at I finally found them. One sidenote, in the states I basically use no cash, my ATM card is basically used everywhere. This allows me to carry little cash on me and it causes me to spend alot less than I usually would. In Dublin its hard to find places that accept it. So weird and very inconvinent for me. But anyways after we walked around the city for awhile there friend decided to part for the night and we went back to the place a cooked some food.

Since I was leaving the hostel at about 11pm to get to my flight on time I wanted to get everyone to the pubs for my last night as quickly as possible. It seemed as though that was a huge hassle as everyone was pretty tired. I also flagged a couple more people to come with us which made it even more stressful because I told them we were going to leave at 9pm and no one seemed ready at that time. This is the beginning what would turn out to be a pretty shitty night. First part being we just wanted a bar that served guinness. Since I was in such a hurry I decided to go to Porterhouse which was a pub I went to on my first day. Alas they did not have guinness and I got a considerable amount of shit. The next poor part was when I was in the bar I wanted to make sure my flight was booked. It turned out my credit card which was about to expire was rejected. I had a few more days but its been more spotty than usual and I had to run back early and figure out wtf I was going to do. I was already booked in a hostel in Tallinn with no flight. I decided to just go to the airport and try my luck. Luckily I got there by a friendly driver and everything worked out just fine. I was off to Tallinn the next day
