I don't know what I am doing

So Jaybeastie and his buddies were going to meet me at 3 or 4 pm so I had some time to myself before they arrived at the hostel. I decided to walk around Dublin randomly with a map in my back pocket and see where I lead myself. Anyways I saw some great sites. Saw one poker room and a bunch of the local pubs before I ended up at St. Patricks Cathedral which I thought was a perfect for the first destination of my trip. I went it with my hat on to quickly realize I was being rude. This was def not my intention so I quickly took it off and they also said that I shouldn’t be carrying my backpack which is really heavy so I was very happy to put it down in one of the back rooms.

Just a sidenote the people in Dublin are suuuuuupperr nice. The women at the cathedral was a nice old lady when I put my pack down she noticed the my jacket was in shambles from just taking off the backpack and nicely fixed it for me. I think stuff like this is just so supremely underrated. I mean I like to embrace the kindness of strangers because people are just so damn mean these days.

But the Cathedral was nice. Very standard from what I have experienced in the past from going to quite a few in. They had what seemed to be an over obsession with Jonathon Swift but besides that a great thing to start the trip with. After that I walked back to the hostel because for some reason I couldnt get it out of my head that I was meeting Jonas(Jay) at 11 or 12 not 3 or 4. After killing sometime I thought I would check my text messages and sure enough I was 3 hours early. So after that I was hungry and decided to go down the street to Porterhouse Pub. Real nice one in the Temple district with over 90 beers there. When I went it no one was there and again the waitress was super nice/super cute in borderline flirting type of way. Got a steak sandwich and just hung out and read. I absolutely loved spending time there. Very chill. They gave me shit for finishing 2 beers in like an hour and looking alittle drunk when I left but it was the headrush.

After that I went back to the hostel and finished the rest of Shutter Island. I recommend it alot and hope the movie plays out like the book did.

Jonas and his friends finally arrived and we did greetings and got to know each other. Super nice kids though they like to give me shit for not understanding german. Fuckers. I am writing this a couple of days later but essentially we got food and met a couple of American girls as well as my roommate a guy from Australia and their roommate who was a girl from Spain. We all went to the pubs and got pretty hammered. They were all nice and we end up spending more time with all of them later except for the guy from Australia and that is because he left.

But that was my first day I will try to post cliffnotes at the end of these because I tend to ramble and alot of this is for my own and my family back homes benefit rather than for entertainment sake.

CLIFF NOTES: Dublin day 1. Woke up went to St. Patricks Cathedral. Spent time reading and drinking in pub. Met Jonas and friends. Nice guys obv. German. Found others and went out drinking
