Right, long time no see DC! :)
It has been some 3 months since I started this blog - and also since my last update. So what has been happening since?

Well I moved my bankroll from FTP just a week before black friday (thank god!) to William Hill Poker. I played there for a bit but then exams got in the way and since I knew I wouldn't have time to stay on top of my game I stopped playing at WH and instead deposited 500 SEK (roughly $85) to Sweden's national pokersite (owned by the government) and started playing the lowest stakes .25/.5 just to atleast play some poker while studying. I had heard beforehand that the competition on SvS was generally pretty soft and that some regs where steadily making 13-17ptbb/100 so I thought I'd give it a go. There's no rakeback but the rake has averaged 4,3bb/100 over 70k hands which is roughly half the rake international sites take so it's not needed.

While studying during the days and playing during the nights things were going really well and I quickly expanded my BR and moved up to .5/1 where I continued crushing and increasing my roll. When the time had come for my exam I was making 26bb/100 with an EV of 28bb/100 over 22k hands at 50 and 100nl combined (remember the figures are SEK and roughly worth 1/6 of a $). pretty graph of rungood below:

So when I was done with my exam (Aced it!) I was feeling confident about my game and the weak competition and had decided to make an effort to make some real money out of poker before next semester to actually be able to use poker as a source of spendingmoney. However, since this is not a fairy tale, things did not work out as planned (or hasn't so far atleast :P).

Since the 1st of June I've played almost 47k hands - roughly 28k at 100nl and 18k at 200nl. My winnings stand at 3.22bb/100 with an EV of 13.44bb/100 overall (~400SEK in winnings, 7,1k SEK in EV).

The worst part is I told a friend that I was hoping to make some money this summer when being able to focus on poker, and he's spread the word, and all of you know the scepticism people have against pokerplayers (read: degens) - not like showing them my EV-line would make a great impression =/.

So where am I now?

moneywise I decided to cash out my old WH-BR just the other day to lift my spirits and feel like I actually was making money (might have needed some spendingmoney aswell). I felt that I was most likely going to be sticking to SvS anyway so no point having a second roll somewhere else. I also felt since I'm not running that well atm I didn't want to boost my SvS-roll since I've got 40bi's for 100nl on there already out of which only 5bi's have been deposited by me.

Pokerwise I've been on the edge of getting disheartened a number o times now, by all of the *insert bad beat of your choice*. I keep telling myself that it's just a downswing and the only way to turn it around is to keep sitting down by my computer and grind while trying to make as few mistakes as possible and not let the bad luck get to me and the trust in my game.

I also feel bad that I've spent the last 2-3 weeks more or less locked up in my house due to poker and have absolutely nothing to show for it while my friends are going on trips and having a blast =/.

I hope it turns around soon, can't be filling this blog up with only whining and bitching, next entry I promise will be a positive one! ;)
