A couple final tables but no wins.

So I have finally come to the decision of strictly playing DONS) Double or Nothing Sit n Go's of $5 and nearly all tournaments of $11 or less.  Currently I am enrolled in summer courses, so I am limited in play during the weekdays, but managed to squeeze a few tournaments out yesterday and Monday.  I have deposited multiple times but this time I am trying to follow certain guidelines. I deposited $200 to Merge last Saturday. And am planning on grinding everyday for at least 2 hours.

I have just begun playing some PLO tournaments, and yesterday I opened up Merge and saw this PLO tournament 11$ buy in w/ rebuys add/on, 1k Guarantee. I usually don't try to play add-ons and re-buys as it always ends up costing a lot of money.  But as only 12 people were registered with 30 minutes of late reg remaining I decided the tourney was profitable and registered.  By the end of late reg and the 1st break, I was top 4 in chips with 20/26 remaining.  Since I am more of a holdem player I decided to do what I know best and just really attack the blinds and then play straightforward post flop. I ran a few bluffs, that turned out not profitable. After 3 hours of play we reached the final tables, with only 4 getting paid (100,200,300,400) everyone was playing tight. I managed to get down to the last 6. And 2 of the shorter stacks played only about 10% of hands, while the other 3 were super aggro.  Since I don't have a PLO tracker and just hem2 I will just move forward to the final 4. I was chip leader after AAxx vs KKxx busted one of the medium stacks.  Right off the bat UTG (2nd in chips) raised, Button called and i potted with AhAcKh10s and he shoved, I called. he showed AsAd2d4c and flopped the wheel. I was crippled and left with 7 BB and quickly moved all in on the next hand and lost a flip.

I was very tilted as I managed to go from chip leader to 4th in a matter of 2 hands. I don't think there is a way im folding here. Any input?

Sorry this is my first blog ever, and its probably pretty jumbled. But any feedback would be nice.

BR = $400.

First, follow better bankroll management rules unless you're ok with re-depositing again. :)

Second, don't beat yourself up. Sucks to get beat like that, but shit happens. Move on.

BR management is an important area to learn, one size does not fit all. You appear to have a aggressive BR approach which is fine if you can take some heavy swings without tilting and are also able to reload if neccessary. If you are learning the ropes you can often do this just as well in lower stakes and this allows you to play comfortably and so not react too badly if some bad results hit. Ask plenty of questions on the appropriate forums and also post replies to others as this is a great way to learn and get feedback.

Thanks guys. I just tried some 5c/10c 6 max, and went break even EV. But I just dont like the cash game on Merge! Im now down to 280$ after just donking it off, after some tilt.

Any guidelines you could give me for my brm? More specifically what the both of you follow?

Also, when playing..I am finding it hard to concentrate any ideas?

Thanks.
