Mentality on Variance

Just finished a ridiculous 4.5 hour session where I just ran into tops of peoples ranges ALL THE FREAKING TIME (maybe not, I'll have to review just to make sure I wasn't value cutting myself oh, every hand :P).

Found it interesting that as I got stuck about 4-5 BIs my mentality changed into that of a 'stuck' person. Now this is really retarded because my BR was at the same point that it was at oh, 3 days ago before I won money. So like, wtf am I doing!? And now even though I ended the session stuck maybe 1.5 BIs I'm moderately happy since I was stuck what like 6, even though really it was a losing session.

I'll probably feel better about all this after I review hands and figure out what's going on, but it was just interesting to see how I responded to losing and  variance. As annoyed as I was with the immediate results of the session I feel like I kept my cool & played pretty well... I guess that's an improvement (again, we'll reserve judgement until I review the HHs)

Sigh. I'll get better at this one day.

I should take a few days off poker, all this mouse using at work on my day job AND at home playing internet poker is not doing me any favors!!
