The implications are obviously huge, that's why so many people refuse to even begin to look at the data. However, the data is the data, and it can't be manipulated or changed, just as the laws of physics don't change, based upon what implications they may or may not have for politics.

On this point, you do see documentaries with scientists providing all the data, possible explanations and implications if true, but they make it extremely clear how much of a long shot this is and why.

Yeah I agree that more investigation should be done, but I think that logic falls down if it's not considering the implications of any hypothesis. Take the fast than light neutrinos. Right now all the data points to this being true. They currently can't debunk it, all known potential errors in the experiment are accounted for within the error margins. According to your logic and scientific method we should be thinking this is plausible, maybe even likely as all the data fits perfectly with the hypothesis. I mean there literally isn't one data point that goes against this yet, it's not even anomaly hunting. But any legit scientist will tell you that the chances of it being true is extremely remote because the implications of it are so absurd. You don't see a documentary with scientists providing all the data, talking about the scientific method and trying to say there's strong plausibility towards this. So I would say taking EVERYTHING into account the hypothesis that best fits the data would be that all these reasons can be explained by planes flying into the building and the ensuing fire, and it would be cool to see a study look into that. I'm not saying controlled demolition definitely didn't happen, it just seems to me like a remote possibility (not because of the data but because of the implications), and whilst I think it should be looked into the problem I have with the 9/11 truthers is they generally don't seem to acknowledged that.

Mitch, people can speculate all they like as to the ifs and buts and maybes. And it is not what the OP film is about. What requires more focus is the building collapsing at all and THAT should be thoroughly investigated, based on the evidence, the video evidence and eyewitness testimony, looked at under the scientific method, and the hypothesis which fits the data being the outcome of the report. That is logical. That's what science is. One hypothesis is that fire did it, the other that explosives did it. Lets look at the data. The twin towers: 1. Destruction proceeds through the path of greatest resistance at nearly free-fall acceleration 2. Improbable symmetry of debris distribution 3.Extremely rapid onset of destruction 4.Over 100 first responders reported explosions and flashes 5.Multi-ton steel sections ejected laterally 6.Mid-air pulverization of 90,000 tons of concrete & metal decking 7.Massive volume of expanding pyroclastic-like clouds 1200-foot-diameter debris field: no "pancaked" floors found 8.Isolated explosive ejections 20–40 stories below demolition front 9.Total building destruction: dismemberment of steel frame 10.Several tons of molten metal found under all 3 high-rises Which hypothesis best fits this data?

One thing I've never really seen discussed but have always found interesting about WTC 7 is if you have a government that is so capable and efficient (and relatively incapable at everything else) that can manufacture this almost flawless event and fool the overwhelming majority or people + experts in the field, why would they be dumb enough to blow up that building without an obvious and convincing cover story. Wouldn't you think their top priority above everything else would be to make this not look like they did it. So I don't understand how a super intelligent group of people with a pretty flawless plan in almost every other area would even consider this, it seems quite paradoxical to me. For example if they really wanted to blow up WTC 7 why not "plant" and "car bomb" in a parking garage or come up with any number of stories to cover it's demolition. I mean WTC 7 is the corner stone for 9/11 conspiracies, but once you accept that a ton of anomalies happen in large, complex events like this and stop using arguments of ignorance (we can't explain why it happened/is like this therefore... government conspiracy) then WTC 7 doesn't seem like a super strong argument to be, or perhaps even an argument against it being a set up. Of course we can go back and forwards on technical evidence, and there's decent arguments on both sides, but could we universally agree WTC 7 implies a huge fuck up you really wouldn't expect to happen if you look at how the rest of the plan was carried out... or just a random anomaly that happen naturally when immense weights crash in to goliath structures at insane speeds?

I have read that several times before this date and thanks for posting it again. My thesis for university was about the political side of September 11th so frankly I would be surprised if I hadn't seen any of the things related to it. Politics aside, science is the most important here. Popular Mechanics not once mentions the laws of conservation of momentum or energy. At this point though, I guess we will just have to agree to disagree.

1. What I suggested was really nothing more than conjecture, which unfortunately is really the best that any one of us here can do at this point. 2. Sounds like Captain Cocksure engineer playing himself up for the TV by making grand statements that he could never truly account for. So, to answer your question, yep. 3. Your 'referenced' article has only seven sources, and at least four are of dubious merit at best. Find me ANY authority on academic writing that says that extrapolating facts from obscure and/or biased sources is an acceptable practice and I will personally mail you 11 Asian mail-order brides postage paid. To address your fire fixation, the fires themselves (Jet fuel burns at up to 1500 degrees F) didn't MELT the steel (Which melts at 2750 Degrees F), but steel does lose 50% of its strength at 1100 degrees F. Never mind that most office material is very very combustible. Steel also conducts heat very well, which would explain why other floors didn't maintain their rigidity. I know you're quite content to imagine yourself wielding a shining warhammer of truth and bashing through the walls of my hut made of sticks and ignorance, but these conspiracy theories have fizzled out for a reason, and that reason is there really isn't evidence to back up these extraordinary claims. Getting back to Antlers. We are having a discussion so let's continue to it's logical conclusion. I will answer your points in order. 1. Is it entirely inconceivable that ground tremors created by buildings of enormous weight hitting the ground ended up damaging a building's foundation that it ended up falling as well? Earthquakes take out buildings all the time. It is not entirely inconceivable that tremors and earth quakes destroy buildings. All three buildings surrounding it are visible and fully intact. Was wtc7 just poorly designed? Or can a more logical explanation answer that. 2. Well I like the discussion going on here, good job. It is fair to say this: "It is my opinion, based upon the footage I note in OP, that it is highly unlikely only fires collapsed those three buildings. AS no buildings before or after have exhibited any of the same design flaws. It is important to investigate this and let the evidence speak for itself." Beyond that mitch is right, we will just be quoting various 'authority' figures. I just can not watch the hitchens video, then watch wtc 7 collapse, and see nothing wrong with the picture of a 48 story building collapsing symmetrically through itself in less than 7 seconds... regardless of whatever it 'implies'.

Oh forgot to add, the groups I used as examples above will make arguments towards their position that sound very rational, logical and based in science to a person not at a high level in that specific field. It follows that in some cases it will be very hard for the receiver to accurately assess this information. Therefore I think it's very important to seek out opposing sides with an open mind in any area you have beliefs in but not the understanding to back it up. Unfortunately people tend to go the other way.

I think it's important to note that very few if any of us are in the position to discuss this from a technical point of view other than regurgitating points from "authority" figures or just from our simplistic idea of how ridiculously complex systems work. Also just because some experts say something doesn't necessarily mean they're on to something. Look at the quantum physicists associated with Deepak Chopra who will tell you the moon is in a non-localised state if no one is looking at it and our intentions can effect the molecular structure of water. Or the sheer number of Scientists who are also Creationists (obv low %, but there's a lot of scientists)... "There is clear evidence, and thousands of experts (professional scientists with over 20,000 years of combined experience) saying the world is 6,000 years or and/or god created all living things" I would be surprised if that wasn't a true statement, which leads us to a bit of a problem with these kind of things. I'm certainly not saying they're wrong though, or right, I sometimes fall for this bias and notice many other people do too.

i think you have it backwards when you say "because the day itself is wrapped up in a special blind patriotism flag, the point of view of reason and logic is lost." if there wasn't emotional pain attached to this day, there wouldn't be thousands of 9/11 stories by people trying to explain what "really" happened. traumatized and fearful people make up stories to ease their psyche, it's a way to regain control in a fearful situation. "Instead see it as an airline accidentally flew into the wtc, causing fires. Then 3 buildings totally collapse to dust. If this were the case, then there would be a national out cry from all architects and engineers" outcry about what? that their predictions were wrong? that buildings aren't designed perfectly for every scenario? that life isn't perfectly predictable? and it would be different if it was an accident. but that's not what happened, and you seem to want people to pretend it was an accident and proceed from there. but your logic is all screwed up. it wasn't an accident, so it went down differently.

Antlers. The problem with the above is that it defies three things. One, WTC 7 was not hit by a plane and it completely collapsed. Two, Frank D. martini who was construction manager of WTC complex said "We over designed the building to withstand almost anything, included a fully loaded 707 which was the largest jetliner at the time.. In fact I believe that the buildings could withstand multiple airliners." quoted from Discovery Channel Documentary 'the World Trade Centers' which aired in January 2001. Third, you are describing something which defies the Laws of Conservation of Momentum and Energy, these are being blatantly ignored.

The film does not mention any conspiracy whatsoever. Aside to say "They are not interested in conspiracy theories!". They are calling for a full investigation into why 3 towers collapsed, when no high rise towers have collapsed due to fires before or since. They are using the scientific method, nothing else.

interesting setup from vid 1 to 2. but the 9/11 video has a 10 minute long introduction that basically reads as: "we're not crazy, really, we're not, we like science and logic," tediously giving everybody's work history to excuse their belief in a conspiracy theory. WARNING 1. cognitive dissonance ahead... and the first real "aha" moment for the viewer is supposed to be when they start talking about the structural steel being shipped off to China before it could be investigated. but what they seem daft on (cognitive dissonance is like that) is that millions of people saw the planes hit the buildings, and we assumed that was why the buildings fell, so there was no initial investigation into what "actually" happened and that's why the trash got cleared so quickly. and building 7's cleanup probably just got lumped in with the cleanup project of the other towers because that's what happens in the real world. why would we investigate the rubble when there was no mystery to solve? it's as if 100 people sees a shooting in a public place and the police come and take the body away and clean up the blood quickly. it's not some shocking cover-up. are these people architects and engineers or police investigators? they proved they're experts in the intro and now they're giving expert testimony in the wrong field. WARNING 2.

Yes, so I play longer when I am losing, and quit when I am winning - basically the opposite of what I should do! So the aim to just quit when you are losing a couple of buyins prevents losing more and playing longer 'chasing' - I guess its hard to say exactly which comes first kind of chicken and egg. Its probably true that I play longer to try get even, but this mentality is at odds with make the best decisions from the get go.

with regard to your longer sessions being losing ones, isn't it possible (or even likely) that playing longer doesn't cause the losing, but losing causes you to play longer? I would say it's probably both though, but I don't think it's fair to say that the causation only goes one way.

I think if you raise the flop you will get called once by any ace from original raiser as well as getting value from draws, given he will heavily discount AA, KK, and AK from your range, which leaves you looking like 99 and a lot of draws, maybe as weak as a backdoor heart draw. Also you don't allow the bb to draw cheaply. And its not going to be a good board for villain to barrel given no overcards to come and that you could raise the turn with a draw.

@ Mullanimal - yeah I could raise flop here, I dont know what hand continues that I beat though which is part of the reason I didnt three bet preflop. @ gsa703 - just saying that out of frustration. I know its not the right way to think about poker, hence why I said "obviously a stupid attitude" right before! It was just me moaning. Good things you point out there. @coolhand - the first AK hand is just kind of another moan, i dont think c/f is ever good though. The last AK hand I flatted preflop because villain opens a very tight range UTG (8%) so 3betting is like turning AK into a bluff because he never is calling with worse. I play 4-5 tables

im not so sure the hands are standard. the first hand i think could have been played more optimally. the river Q is a bad card for you. most likely villain imo is either folding the river with his TT,JJ.KK, wierd floats; or shipping the river with his monster/missed draws. With the Queen you lose half the combos of hands that would pay you off. Against an aggressive player with a strong range I prefer a c/f on the river without reads. Bluffcatching could be profitable if you have a read on him. By shoving only AJ pays you off and seldom at that in my opinion. Hopefully I am not coming off as a jerk--my game is filled with leaks and flaws. Thought you may benefit from some thoughts. The third hand is the most interesting for me. Unless the sb or bb was a fish I prefer a 3bet here. Any reads on the utg opener? Could he value bet anything worse on the river? What does he do w AQ? Do you think the river is a good or bad spot to bluff? How many tables were you playing? How things are well for you--thanks for posting.

This means you will suffer more bad beats from me, than I will from you. In the long run, of course, you will have more chips. It is unfair .. to the player with less skill. It depends a lot on what job it is and how you enjoy it. I worked in finance dept. in insurance for over a year and I hated it. I am allergic to business lingo, dull elevator talk and staged conversations, and in my eyes it is one big bullshit. It was making me stressed and unhappy, and for me that's the only purpose in life-be happy.For me the only alternative is becoming an enterpreneur, but for that you need a passion and an idea which I am lacking. But if you find a job that you actively enjoy and that doesn't leave you exhausted at the end of the day, it really can be great to get into it. You mentioned Blah and he enjoys what he is doing AND he enjoys poker, and he enjoys it even more because he doesn't have to stress about results, Win Win anyone? :P Best of luck to you, personally I go the path of cutting expenses brutally (no car, no parties, no restaurants just poker, gym, sports and a couple $15pub nights per month, many times with live poker), and a minimal side income (ghostwriting).

I find tilt for me, cognitive. Ie, something pisses me off, i then call a little wider in the next hand/game, which leads me to lose, then i get more stressed, my game gets worse, i chase all draws and pick goofier spots to bluff etc. Luckily for me i havent got like this in a while (in the past i have spazzed off HUGE chunks of my roll), so i think you are correct OP that you have to spot the triggers then log off asap

The word triggers was used in Saibots vid right? I think it's missleading/wrongly used. Tilt triggers hart beating faster, not the other way around. I think the word trigger should be replaced by a 'sign' or 'symptom' that are triggered by tilt, or a suck out etc.

Is the 3bet pot thing a bit too vague maybe? Example1 'I will not call light against people that 3bet a lot' I find it hard how to specifically define 'light' in poker. Overall, I just have problem with defining SMART goals in poker, as everything 'depends' so much. And when you don't have a specific time bound measurable goal it's so easy to just not do it if you know what I mean :( Example2 yeah the same issue, I guess it's easy to translate that into - 'Call only if I outplay them postflop only if I know how I will do it before I call' i.e. if someone 3bets a lot and cbets too much you can call and raise flop with any 7+outs and 10+backdoor outs. But these rules are so villain specific i find it hard to work on them in general and put them into goals/rules:/ 3) Love that range thinking :O I tried that in the past week and it hurts and actually hurted my short term EV. When you always think first about his complete range and then make your decision based on that in the very limited time you have for a hand and when you are under pressure, your narrow rational thinking will inevitably weigh parts of their range too much leading to bad decisions. You can NEVER rationally establish their range completely in game and take into considerations all factors influencing his range so you have to practice hardcore so often and so hard that this range based thinking becomes part of your intuition/procedural memory. It can get very frustrating but it must be done , juts a heads up sir. Example 3) again that is super vague ' I'll work harder away from the table to maintian a balanced perspective' what does that actually mean? When I run bad, as I do right now with a breakeven weak, I get all irrational and having vague actions like that doesn't do much help I found out :( 4)10s waiting time - yeah this is good, but I think again a goal should be not to always think about large decision but rather not make bad intuitive decisions at all :O when you snap act it's procedural memory in Jared's terms that's making the decisions. Waiting 10s will make you use your rational thought process/rational memory, but won't address the issue of your procedural memory/intuition being flawed - fixing your intuition is so much harder as it's slow learning but it should give a long term solution. I think you can do that by focusing 10s and rationalizing your decisions anyway but it helps when you do it with the goal of programming your procedural memory. Overall great job for starters, I need to do this as well. My recipe for quitting smoking (I've successfully stopped for some years, i smoked similar amount like you on a daily basis): 1. Start after a day when you smoked a lot (a hangover day is ideal) 2. Stop from one day to the other, a gradual quitting didn't work for me. 3. Don't go out for 2 weeks (when you drink some alcohol it's very difficult to resist) 4. Start doing some sport on a regular basis immediately. Jogging worked for me and I'm jogging on a regular basis since then. It worked for me, but like in poker it will be decided in your your head:) Good luck with it

Well although the standard ones are easy to spot, I don't think you can identify everything without actually playing. It's a lot different when you don't just grind but look for spots where you make intuitive mistakes, the identification process takes a very long time actually, I'd recommend what he said (sweats, analysis, other people reviewing your game) and on top of that a diary where you write down everything and look for patterns

Btw thanks for doing this, I used to write similar blogs but I found out it's better to write for myself than for blogs (you can make shortcuts in notes and skip obvious stuff etc.) but it sure is appreciated <3 I think this showed you the reason for the snaps you post if wall of shame, emotions and flaws are inseparable part of intuition, and it takes long time to 'tame' them (but never get rid of them, because of emotions you can make quick decisions and know what's right and wrong in the first place). If you will work on it, please post your five step protocol for intuitive mistakes you identify, I am really curious what you will find and how you will work on it

Hand one he can be coolered a few ways, but I think he sometimes hero calls QQ, thoughts?? Obv depends on stats/reads/game flow Hand two, depends on game flop but I think we can make an argument for all 3 actions. I think bluff raising could be sick here with blockers to the nuts and every combo of 67 in your range. I try not to bluff fish a lot but river shoves get a lot of respect and his stack is pretty good for it. If you have seen him donk draws then I call river. If he's been pretty in-line/nitty I fold.

Hi Josh. In reference to these three simple things I find them useful, but not as much as an algorithm of a thought process you've enclosed in your last PDF (prolly by Baller88). I mean: - 1. his range, - 2. your percieved range, - 3. the board, - 4. position, - 5. how big a pot you want play, - 6. stacksizes, - 7. betsize to get result you want Latest example of my one hand. I 3b 54s to a guy who folds a lot to 3bets, so his range for calling is strong. I flooped FD on AJ4, cbet and hit my flush on the turn. I believe the best line on the turn is just to slightly overbet pot, because a villain is calling anyway. If only I have used "the process" and consider point number 1 i.e. HIS RANGE. It would be different. Btw. how it's possible to contact you, because you haven't been on skype for ages. I wanted to ask you about cliffnotes from some books. cheers

The ratio between our value- and our bluff-hands doesnÂ´t compute by the pot in relation to our bet. Neither does fold equity. The fold equity simply derives from the ratio of combos that Villain is folding / 4betting. And if we want to balance our range, we have to look at the odds Villain is getting for his 4bet. Say you make it 10bb and Villain contemplates 4betting to 25bb. NOW you can calculate how often you have to defend against the 4bet to make his bluffs unprofitable. But not the other way round ...

Education expensive yes, but worthless....really!? I mean, how would you go about being a doctor, engineer, or computer scientist without a degree? The top achievers that I know of from my university that are starting grad jobs this year have starting salaries around Â£50K and I know of with a few more around the 30K mark. Doesn't seem too bad to me. But in any case, anecdotal evidence aside, the correlation between education and income is pretty well documented. And what on earth happened to the value of education for it's own sake?

I couldnt find a pic from IMMEDIATELY before I started the diet so that was from a last year, the after pic was from last week i have also done the lemon detox diet for 6 days and epson salt cleanse three times too, they help me cut weight also with the PB i also feel energy way up and happiness way up

nice one son. I just realise a big pro of playing rush and doing what we are trying to do. You dont need 20 buyins to play a lot of hands, you only really want about 5-10 and need 4. Where as on normal tables you would need 20 buyins to play 20 tables.

Hey azurehaze, I have watched the secret before, I liked it overall too. However, I think it goes too far in the sense that accidents do happen just by accident, bad things still happen to good people, and that not every thought manifests itself in reality. The main points I took from that film are: 1) thoughts become things (often) 2) reality is perception (always) 3) there is a hand-in-hand factor between will and luck (without one cannot master the other)

Doesn't committing yourself to staying at 100NL for the whole year kind of limit your options? What if you decide that, come July, you're easily one of the best regs at 100NL then wouldn't it be better to just move up?

Your diet will be just as important for this as your mindset. Make sure you eat very healthily for this period, plenty of fruit and water, that sort of thing. Also if the sleep pattern you need to be in to do this is different from your current sleep pattern, it can take a week or two to properly adjust (I used to work nights so I know it can be hard). Whenever the rake race starts, you should be trying to get into the right sleep patter like 7 days before then - it takes about one day to adjust for every hour different to your normal sleep patter IIRC. 7s full is a pretty yuck spot because the board gives him quite a narrow value raise range, while it's also very unlikely he'd bluff shove. You're pretty much hoping he has a slowplayed underfull. Anyway, seems to me you are emotionally adverse to having a losing session that you lose all patience when you're down, hoping each individual hand is a hand that will get you close to even. This is natural for most people; our brains are wired this way and it can sometimes be hard to overcome that even if you know what you're doing is wrong. Just try to remember that the short-term result doesn't matter, and that the long-run result is more important. If you feel yourself playing badly, just take a breath, a break and reevaluate the situation. Failing that, give yourself a stop-loss that you will adhere to very strictly. If you can't do that then you're on your own.

dude, i searched for 3bet pots, and this post came up this post is pretty epic, i made a thread on mirco stakes 2+2 about difference from good and bad regs, good being literally every point you mentioned sumed up to basicaly good regs, think while playing bad regs, dont think at ALL, they auto pilot constantly, awesome post imo

In hand 2, I think that c/c the river is probably best. Unless you have some image where he's likely to pay off a c/r (agree that it should be larger) with a 1 pair hand when the bd flush comes in as well. I think that his calling range is too strong to really get much value out of it. When he 3bets, I think it's a pretty clear fold despite the price we're getting. Not like he's ever doing this without at least a higher 2 pr but more likely clubs. GL!

Int20h, wasn't intending to be rude, comment was supposed to be mock-demanding, but with a point: You can't lose your discipline when you run badly. And you can't start writing off bad plays as bad-beats. Also his blog is really good partly because he doesn't usually write these kind of badbeat posts.

I think hand 1 is also interesting. It's tempting to raise cos we hate calling if he has A high, but we rep nothing but a draw by raising on that turn. I suppose he almost always has a made hand when he bets pot on that turn card.

Oi! I bookmarked your blog because it seemed like a good example of someone making a serious, methodical attempt to learn poker and now you're posting bad beats? What happened to '3hhs explaining my thought processes'? Also that set of 2s is not a bad beat unless you had a read on SB. When SB re-raises to only 24 he either has a set and is trying not to scare you away, or (less likely) a draw/air and is trying to make you fold for cheap or (least likely) has a weak made hand that he doesn't want to get bluffed off. So you re-re-raise and now he shoves? He's either a nutter or he has exactly 66 or 99. Stick at it!

I mean a flop bet will make him fold his equity against you with hands that he's giving up on: e.g. random overcards to our pair like KQ, JT etc so fine. But when he calls the flop OOP, I would think that is very often a weak ace playing for pot control, or it's a big pair that he has decided is now a bluff catcher. In either case that is a bad turn card on which to turn our hand into a bluff (particularly with a 2tone flop).

Love the last hand :) Hand 2 is definitely the interesting one and i doubt I play it any differently (I mix in a 3-bet pre sometimes but thats neither here nor there) Any reads on CO? Not really putting him on the KK here at all because his line - which doesn't seem great is very confusing. I think he misses out on value as played? Surely he's not pot-controlling here? Weird IMO

If you call hand one on turn, it has got to be with the intention of leading out when we hit one of our clean outs. There will be too many hands where the board is now scary that he will just check behind with ie. 99, which destroys our implied odds we expect.

From the Poker Puzzle book - A capped range is a range where either the top of the bottom of the range is missing. Against a top capped range we can run bluffs since the villain never has a strong hand. Against a bottom capped range we should never bluff catch. The typical example is nits who by design have a range capped at the bottom.

I commend your commitment and I agree planning is going to pay off. Its got me thinking about my own schedule. I play limit 'holdem and so I guess its different. For me, I would worry that I couldn't find 7+ hours of quality play in situations that are +ev. Some times of day are better than others (being in Europe may not help) and aa lot of the time there just aren't enough soft spots. The other concern would be with keeping concentration for over 7 hours in a day. I have done it, but its left me tired and I don't know whether it has had me playing my A game.

Luckystraights, yeah agree LTBR is overpriced but thats good marketing for you. good concepts in the book though. Yeah I have read Baluga's first book. Its was essentially this: Pot Equity+Fold Equity=Aggression -identify your opponents into 3 types: 1- passive bad 2- aggressive bad 3-good Valuebet until you get raised vs type 1 passive bad Dont fold big hands vs typ 2 aggressive bads use position, leverage, and card strength against typ 3 good players. Bobbo's book I havent got around to reading it because I have his DVD series which covers the same concepts. Its good DVD btw. Tecmo, ty

Thanks for the notes, it's a great condensed version of the book. I thought LTBR was way too overpriced, but the other books by tri (blueprint and particularly the workbook) were of very-high quality. I think bobbofitos's and balugwhale's ebooks were better than LTBR. Have you gotten a chance to get to either?

Hey Acombfosho, I'm pretty new to DC. Just got a 6 month membership. Was looking for threads on Thailand and ran into this blog. Just spent a bit of time reading through. This might be a bit random, so I hope u don't mind. I'm a 23yo N.Irish guy thinking about moving out to Thailand for a while to see a bit of asia, work on my poker game and generally have a cracking time. I have been beating 6max 50NL for a fair whack for around a year now. Spent my roll on a vegas trip hence no moving up. Will start taking 100nl shots pretty soon. I just wanted to ask if it was possible/advisable to move to Thailand on a 50NL grinders earnings alone(~$1.5k to $2k per month?) You seem to know a few poker houses over there. Any rooms opening up around September/October time that would be good for a 23yo 50nl grinder who likes to drink? :) Appreciated

Omaha is not all about the 55/45s, but is definately way more swingy. Position way more important, and turn play is like backwards, but definately a good game to add into the mix as its more popular now than ever and more fish like it because they can gamboool preflop any 4 pretty cards and never be in THAT bad shape!

What are you thoughts on PLO? Why did you choose to learn it? Does the variance not scare you considering it seems to be a game of 55/45s? As an ENTP, I am always cooking up big ideas in my mind! Getting them into the real world is the difficult part. Right now my ideas are in the production process, but broadly I can say that I want to start 4 companies. 1 creative company 1 importing company 1 luxury services company 1 investment company beyond that.. I have yet to write out a full plan for each company. will post the plans in my blog as they come to me. Peace

As I read this I wasn't sure if your analysis was correct on every hand because of my lack of knowledge of the game. The one thing that I kept thinking while reading every hand was that this is exiting to read. I stopped reading the progression of each hand and tried to figure out what the player had before I would continue. I also wanted to see what conclusions I would draw verses what you had concluded. This made reading your post even more exiting! I think this post and a variation of this post would benefit a lot of players in the forums. The varied post would include the HEM stats of you and the villain so people would understand the dynamics of the table. I would leave out the winner of the hand and the villains cards until a latter date and inform all posters that the end results will be posted on XYZ date. Post hands that you played poorly and won and hands that you lost. I would encourage readers not to read others posters thoughts of the hand until they have posted there thoughts. I really enjoyed your analysis of your hand GREAT POST

Acombfosho, WOW!!!!! Firstly, thank you for allowing me to be a part of your poker development!!! What you have displayed above is one ridiculously important edge in the game and that edge is- Going from knowing what to do and not doiong it, to- Knowing what to do and doing it!! The next step is- Knowing what to do and doing EVERY FUCKING TIME!!!! In my Video Program, my last chapter is titled- Pro or Show!! The chapter is about being a complete Professional or pretending to be a Professional. Great post, indeed! I can easily relate to your goals as I am in a very similar position myself right now. I have a NL20 BR on LadBrokes and intend to climb the levels up at least 200NL. Maybe we will play on the same tables ;) PS. What about the RB on LadBrokes? Do you have some kind of special deal with an affiliate or are all players eligible to such RB if they asked for it?

it's not listening to EPTPE that will make you tilt less but listening and re-listening it will help you in the long run agree here^^

1. Edge reduces variance, so that's a great mentality 2. Also good, I started using a 50 min countdown timer 3. Being more healthy is always great 4 It's not listening to EPTPE that will make you tilt less but listening and re-listening it will help you in the long run 5. Fooled by randomness is definitely a thought provoking book. If you have not read Nassim Talebâ€™s follow up the black swan I would recommend you read it. I read both both books to help improve my trading but they have a lot to offer the poker player.

Hey ! Just want to say good luck w Ur project. One thing about table scanner (I use other programm): waitlists. Since all Tags/Lags have scanner, waitlists are full of em. So by the time U get to ur selected/waited table, its full of regs. No fun, if U R after easy monie. So what to do ? I pick those tables wheres no long waitlist. Other table parameters suffer a bit, but U can still find Ok ones w high VPIP and so on... Good luck
