thoughts on winning a rakerace
Im planning on winning a rakerace, please comment if you have any advice/experience about winning these.
the race is 15 days, split up into three 5day continuous days with 2 rest days.
The most important thing I believe is having a solid mindset when playing long sessions. and breaking up the sessions into sets of less than 500 hands.
I think i can play 10x 500 hand sessions in a day, making around 11hrs of 6tabling every day, I need to play during peak hours, which will mean playing from 6pm at night until around 7am in the morning. This will be the hardest part.
I think I should exercise every day BEFORE i play and make sure I am well fed. My schedule should be to wake up mid afternoon, eat, go play basketball, then shower and begin the grind. 5 days on, 2 days rest/relax NO POKER! then 5 days on, rinse, repeat.
There is sick value in this race as I will be getting 60% flat + the rakerace on top, i really expect it to be over 100% rakeback
I think i need to play around 75k hands to win the race, so 5k hands a day.. can I do it? I hope so!

Your diet will be just as important for this as your mindset. Make sure you eat very healthily for this period, plenty of fruit and water, that sort of thing.
Also if the sleep pattern you need to be in to do this is different from your current sleep pattern, it can take a week or two to properly adjust (I used to work nights so I know it can be hard).
Whenever the rake race starts, you should be trying to get into the right sleep patter like 7 days before then - it takes about one day to adjust for every hour different to your normal sleep patter IIRC.
GL mate.
