Next 3 weeks
I just returned from a crazy trip to "Bangkok" for a few days - such an awesome time!
Chiang mai is definately way more chilled out, glad I live here. Loved the trip and we will return again for more fun weekends - couldnt live down there tho because I think I would go crazy!
Anyway, we made the trip because our house mate Lex was leaving Thailand to head off to play the WSOP in Las Vegas. Now he's gone the house will be pretty quiet for me as I always end up going out drinking with Lex every other night and having a good time rather than playing poker. So while I'll miss having him around I'm looking forward to the chance to get some serious hands in and to work on my game.
I've decided to see if I can log a combination of study and play around 200 hours in the next 25 days. I've started learning PLO and I'm really enjoying the new game. it's very swing and the bad beats will keep on coming so its best I get used to them now and suck it up and learn from my mistakes aswell as review the hands and watch the videos I have on the game.
I want to put in quality hours and quality hands so in order to do that im not going to go out drinking as much for the next month or so and at the same time I'm going to up my healthy food intake, sleep, exercise and poker time.
To get the quality hands in i've been table selecting accross 50PLO HU to 100NL 6max and finding the best tables, tagging the fish and trying to get good seating position on them as often as possible. Checking the lobby very often to see if better games are running and also taking regular breaks after sessions, as well as trying to notice when im getting tired during sessions earlier so I avoid needless mistakes due to simple lack of concentration.
It's been 2 days since I got back and here how I total up:
Day 1:
played 6.27 hours + 108 €
studied 45mins
total 7.17hours
Day 2:
played 6.87 hours + 169 €
studied 1.45 hours
total 8.32 hours
Total so far: 16.59 hours + 277 €
I'll keep this blog updated every day and see how I progress. I'll also post my notes on each series I have been studying once I have finished reviewing them. At the moment I'm reviewing the Baluga Whale Coaching Kristy Series, really love how Andrew breaks down the game so simply and effectively, also like the flirtatious style he has, i'm sure he'd be a good bloke to have on a night out on the town. The next series I'm going to review after that will be +EVolution of a poker player by Stheif09.
Kap pom

Peace
