432A Badugi Poker

If you think play money is all chuckles and donks take a look at this hand.

I’m in dealt 2Axx (K52A) in the SB with two limpers in front of me. Villain who I know from previous sessions (a few hes not a regular) to be fairly tight is in the BB. I should raise here but it’s only a few hands in and experience tells me it’s better to be a lil passive as I’ll probably only get rid of one person if I’m lucky. I call BB checks I take 2 Villain takes 2 also rans take 1 and 2. Bricks. It checks around everyone draws again this time I catch 532Ar so I lead out and BB raises, fold, fold back to me and I RR villain calls.

He either put me on a good 3 card and thinks I’m trying to push the action or he made a 8ish badugi. We both stand pat and I fire one off knowing that I have the hand won. There is no way THIS guy bets out if I check so no CR chance here. I show the winner and he shows a 643Ar. WTF!!! How the HELL did you get away from capping that? I asked him, he said “I’ve played with you before and just had a read you had me”.

Now I have played a few games with the guy but nowhere near enough to make that read I would think. Call it dumb luck if you want but if you don’t think some of these people want to win cyber-chips as bad as you want cash you’re THE NUTS! I’ve backed off a 7 low badugi before vs the right player but a 6?
