Six Plus Holdem

Some of you might have heard about the new 'Six Plus Holdem' game-type which is becoming increasingly popular thanks hype from Phil Ivey and Tom Dwan (recently publicized on 2+2), two regulars of the game in Macau. It's a fascinating game, and one which is just recently being introduced to some online sites. If it's a new favorite among the super high stakes gamblers of Macau, then it must be fun right? The main difference between Six Plus and regular Holdem is that all cards deuce to five are removed from the deck, leaving only 36 cards remaining. Naturally, this means a greater chance of hitting a strong hand, making the game more suitable for recreational players in particular who want more action and to play a higher percentage of hands. Only time will tell Six Plus will make it into mainstream popularity, but early indications are good. Perhaps we'll see some Six Plus videos here on DC in the not too distant future.

P.S.
Shout out to our friends at PokerVIP, who wrote this awesome review (they're also the guys that wrote the Six Plus Holdem tips article above).

It contains a blast from the past, looking at some of the historical and legendary video series we've been fortunate enough to produce here at DC.
